Edit Custom Fields
In 5day.io, Edit Custom Field lets you refine any existing field’s name, type, options, or settings directly from the Custom Field Library or its associated project/workspace. Changes sync instantly across all linked tasks, subtasks, and views, ensuring data consistency without rework.
Edit Custom Field via Account Settings
- Click User profile icon (Bottom left) -> Account Settings -> Custom fields.
- Open list of custom fields.
- Select custom field which you want to edit. You can select custom field via two ways:
- Click on name of Custom Field to edit details of custom field.
- Hover over a Custom Field in the list and click the Edit icon.
- Edit details of Custom Fields.
- Click ‘Save’ to update all details.
Edit Custom Field via Workspace Settings
- Go to Workspace -> Workspace Settings -> Customization -> Task Type -> Custom Fields.
- List of custom fields will appear.
- Select custom field which you want to edit. You can select custom field via two ways:
- Click on name of Custom Field to edit details of custom field.
- Hover over a Custom Field in the list and click the Edit icon.
- Edit details of Custom Fields.
- Click ‘Save’ to update all details.
Edit Custom Field via Project Settings
- Go to Project -> Project Settings -> Customization -> Task Type -> Custom Fields.
- List of custom fields will appear.
- Select custom field which you want to edit. You can select custom field via two ways:
- Click on name of Custom Field to edit details of custom field.
- Hover over a Custom Field in the list and click the Edit icon.
- Edit details of Custom Fields.
- Click ‘Save’ to update all details.
Warning
The edited custom field will be updated to all projects, tasks and subtasks where its used.
