Connect Slack Account with 5day.io

The Connect option lets you link Slack with your 5day.io account, unlocking real-time notifications and the ability to create tasks directly from any Slack channel, DM, or group chat.

Once connected, the 5day.io Slack App will appear in your workspace, delivering all configured 5day.io alerts and enabling task creation through slash commands and message actions.

Connect Personal Account​

To use the Slack integration, it must be enabled in your 5day.io account by the account owner/admin.

  • By default, Slack integration is automatically enabled for all users if your plan supports it.
  • Admins can restrict access per user or role in Roles and Permission.

Once enabled, any authorized user can connect their Slack account from 5day.io in just a few steps:

Step-by-Step: Connect Your Slack Account​

  1. Open 5day.io
    Log in to your 5day.io account.

  2. Go to My Settings
    Click your profile icon and open My Settings.

  3. Open Integration Center
    Navigate to Integrations Center to view available apps.

  4. Choose Slack
    Find the Slack card and click Connect.

  5. Slack Authorization Screen
    A Slack popup will appear.
    Select your Slack workspace and click Allow to approve permissions.

  6. Complete Login (if required)
    If you’re not already signed into Slack, you may be asked to log in.

  7. Connection Complete!
    After authorization:

    • You’ll be redirected to slack and
    • You’ll receive a welcome message from the 5day.io Bot inside Slack

    Your Slack account is now fully connected to 5day.io.
